Deadline Hollywood: Video Producer/Editor

Deadline Hollywood is looking for a talented Video Producer /Editor to join our dynamic, creative team to develop and create strategic content. Based in our West Los Angeles headquarters, the Video Producer/Editor will produce, shoot and edit videos for Deadline Hollywood.

Responsibilities:

o Production of original video content from concept to delivery.
o Serve as a producer for assigned video projects. This includes coordinating, scheduling, shooting, directing, and editing of assigned video series and projects.
o Provide video content for the website to complement top stories and features.
o Edit exciting and dynamic sizzle reels of Deadline events.
o Shoot and live-stream events for strategic brand partners and sponsors. Setting up lighting for 2-8 person shoots and recording external sound from lavalier and boom microphones.

Requirements:
o Proven ability to work with an editorial team and maintain high journalistic standards.
o Good communication skills
o Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere and After Effects.
o Knowledge of several cameras including Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Cameras, Panasonic GH4s and Canon c300s. Knowledge of lenses, especially the proper focal lengths and aperture for a shoot.
o Knowledge of recording Zoom meetings and editing the footage to create multi camera virtual shoots.
o Team player and the ability to self-start and work independently
o Detail oriented with a keen eye for quality
o Ability to manage expectations for timely completion and delivery of projects
o Strong interest and knowledge of entertainment industry, film and television; confident and comfortable around talent.
